MONTREAL, Dec. 20, 2020 / CNW Telbec / – Despite the unprecedented challenges we all face this year, Budureasca, a Romanian producer of premium wines, has managed to thrill wine lovers in Quebec and Ontario .
After having organized wine tastings with LGDM and SIVS Québec for two consecutive years, the Budureasca house has gained recognition and appreciation in the Canadian market. Faced with the impossibility of organizing a third wine tasting due to the pandemic, the forward-thinking management team of Budureasca met its consumers … online!
The four virtual sessions of the “Live tasting from the Budureasca cellar” were initially designed for 80 participants. The concept was to provide participants with a free tasting set containing small bottles of three different wines as well as some accessories.
General Manager Olga Miloiu said “the scale of the event surprised us all. We never expected that we would go further than what we had aimed for ”. She pointed out that “places filled up so quickly after registration opened that we had to adjust our plans to accommodate more participants and offer them tasting sets”. Finally, we managed to welcome 160 participants and 100 more are on our waiting list for future events ”.
The RoWine representative, Budureasca’s agent for private importation, noted that “Budureasca’s financial strength and dedication to expanding into the Quebec and Ontario markets has enabled us to offer free of charge. sets appreciated by all ”.
The participants enjoyed the virtual wine tasting which lasted almost two hours each. Budureasca oenologist Stephen Donnelly presented each wine live from the barrel room, carefully guiding the audience through the tasting.
