Today, the City of Toronto is resuming many services and reopening facilities as Toronto and all of Ontario enter the next stage of the Province of Ontario’s reopening framework. This next phase of reopening allows for the restart of many businesses and services, including recreational programs and centres, with public health requirements and capacity restrictions in place to protect residents and staff.
As of this morning, Toronto residents are also permitted to eat indoors at bars and restaurants, resume going to gyms and gather with up to 10 people indoors and 25 people outdoors, subject to capacity limits and public health measures. Theatres and museums are also permitted to open.

Vaccination against COVID-19 remains the best way to protect Toronto’s reopening progress. Team Toronto continues to offer hundreds of opportunities across the city for residents to receive a first, second, third or paediatric dose of COVID-19 vaccine. This past weekend, the Scarborough Health Network administered almost 5,000 doses of vaccine during their Family Roll Call Vax Weekend effort.
More than 90 per cent of eligible Toronto residents age 12 and older have now received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
The COVID-19 Omicron variant continues to spread, creating an urgent need for those eligible to receive a third dose of vaccine to get vaccinated as soon as they are eligible. Any residents who have not yet received their first or second dose of COVID-19 vaccine are also encouraged to do so as soon as possible. COVID-19 vaccines lower the risk of serious illness, hospitalization and death, while protecting oneself, loved ones and the community. Today, Team Toronto partners will administer thousands of vaccines at City-run clinics, hospital partner clinics, more than 525 local pharmacies and doctors’ offices, including the following clinic locations:
City-run immunization clinics
The five City-run immunization clinics continue to add new appointments for first, second and third doses of COVID-19 vaccine. To book an appointment, click the blue “Book a Vaccine” button on www.toronto.ca/covid-19 or call 1-833-943-3900. City-run clinics are easily accessible by transit and offer free parking on site. Clinic staff are also able to provide resources in multiple languages. A person with a vaccination appointment can also bring a support person to help with translation.
City-run clinics and Team Toronto partners are now offering both Pfizer and Moderna vaccines to eligible residents receiving a first, second or third dose. Supply may vary between clinics and individuals attending for vaccination cannot be guaranteed a choice between brands of vaccine. Both Pfizer and Moderna brands are mRNA vaccines and have been scientifically proven to protect from serious consequences linked to COVID-19. Residents should also continue to follow public health measures such as mask wearing, good hand hygiene and physical distancing.
