Good morning Canada and good day France! We are here at the Lenovo Grand Prix De France 2022 for the 12th race of the season.  Today we will see FP3 (Practice 3) at the Circuit Paul Ricard in the South of France and after that we will have Qualifications Q1, Q2 and Q3.

It is another day of sweltering heat on the track in France.

The Lenovo Grand prix De France is home to Team Alpine, along with their French Driver Esteban OCON, and Pierre GASLY. (A special note to the drivers and Team Alpine)

In FP3 (Practice 3) will see more pace and precision driving by the drivers around these quick bends and high-speed turns. The drivers will be pushing the outer limits of the track for the best line as drivers and engineers relay vital information on their cars and track conditions before qualifications.

Collecting data on the three sectors, speed, and breaking location around the track will be essential information come Race Day Sunday.

Opportunities will be available to overtake around the sweeping bends and high-speed wide turns.

Lookout for turns 11 and 12 where we saw wide turns being taken yesterday.

Practice 3 Brief

We have a sizzling track, and green light and they are off onto the track.

The Red bull comes flying out. They did not have a good session in FP2 (Practice 2), so will see if their problems persist on the understeering of their cars.

Just in, news from the paddock. The FIA confirms that Carlos Sainz, Ferrari driver, will start from the back of the grid as he continues to take on more new components for his car. He is over-limited and there is F1 regulation on this matter.

Also, Magnussen Team Haas is set to start at the back of the field with the same action.

30 minutes into this session and we see the pace getting pushed.

Turn 11 and 12 are giving drivers fits. The faster you push the pace and the wider you go, you could easily flat spot your tyres.

Here we have it…  Leclerc does just that. Nice recovery Charles!

Verstappen, Red Bull Racing, middle sector goes purple, it seems his minor steering adjustments have helped, and he is on top of the timesheet, but he comes to Ferrari, as Leclerc sets a purple first sector but still tenth off Verstappen.

I noticed that Ferrari is on the soft tyre and Red Bull Racing is on the medium tyre. Hmmm! Competitiveness is on! Will this be a one pit stop race or two pit stop race, Lookout for the “undercuts” in tomorrow’s race?

Last few laps of the session … and there it goes, the CHEQUERED FLAG, and Verstappen tops FP3 (Practice 3) with a time of 1:32.272.

Next up is the two Ferrari’s, Sainz with a time of 1:32.626 and Leclerc with a time of 1:32.90.

Hamilton with a time of 1:33,255, and Perez with a time of 1:33.293 round off the top 5.
