JUNIOR ACADEMY ONTARIO TRYOUT INFORMATION

TORONTO, ON (September 27, 2019) – Canada Basketball’s Men High Performance Program will hold a tryout for this year’s Ontario Junior Academy program, on the weekend of October 4 – 6, 2019 at Mohawk College – David Braley Athletic Centre, in Hamilton, Ontario. This tryout is open to Ontario athletes in Grade 7 & 8 (born in 2006 & 2007).

The Junior Academy Program (JRA) serves as the entry point into Canada Basketball’s High Performance Athlete Development Pathway. Through excellent coaching and programming, our goal is to provide grade 7 and 8 students with an opportunity to train and develop in a high-performance environment.

Over the course of six weekend training sessions, athletes will be centralized in a training camp away from their homes, where they can develop their on-court skills. Athletes will also be introduced to our off-court sessions which focus on social/emotional/mental development. The tryout will take place at the David Braley Athletic Centre, and is open to Canadian male athletes in Grade 7 & 8, born within the following date range: January 1, 2006 – December 31, 2007.
