Mississauga Steelheads Defeat the Barrie Colts in Overtime, Tie Playoff Series 1 – 1

The Mississauga Steelheads played their 2nd game of the OHL Playoffs against the Barrie Colts earlier today.  The Steelheads were down in the series 0 – 1 heading into the game after losing game 1 in overtime.

There were no goals after the 1st period of play at Paramount Fine Foods Center in Mississauga.

The puck finally found the back of the net late in the second period when Ty Collins scored a powerplay goal for the Steelheads.

It was Cooper Matthews with a game tying power play goal that sent the game into overtime.  This being the 2nd overtime game in a row between the two clubs.

Owen Beck scored the game winner in overtime for the Steelheads tying the best of seven series at 1 – 1.
