Since May 31, Scarborough-Agincourt MP Jean Yip has endorsed Ana Bailão (#11 on the ballot) as the best candidate to be the next Mayor of Toronto. With the final stretch in the mayoral campaign, Jean Yip endorses Ana because she will:
☑ Keep taxes low
☑ Build 285,000 new homes – including at least 57,000 purpose-built rental homes. ☑ Fix services like the TTC – reversing transit cuts
☑ Healthcare for seniors with mobile clinics
☑Mobile mental health clinics
☑Support a well-funded and well-trained police service
☑Work with the other levels of government
“We need a Mayor in Toronto who recognizes and appreciates that Scarborough has distinct communities with distinct needs,” said Jean Yip. “Ana was one of the only downtown councillors to stand up for the Scarborough subway extension and has also consistently supported the Sheppard subway extension. She is committed to making life better and more affordable for our communities with everything from transit to housing to parks.”
With endorsements from former Mayors John Tory, Art Eggleton and Barbara Hall, 9 Toronto City Councillors, 11 elected Members of Parliament, one Member of Provincial Parliament, and 6 labour organizations, and workers, businesses, and people across the city, Ana is the only candidate who can bring Toronto together to deliver for residents. Ana has a plan to fix city services, build more housing, make life better and more affordable, and keep taxes low.
