Team Toronto and Toronto Public Health (TPH) continue to work hard throughout this holiday season to provide residents with opportunities to get their first, second or third “booster” dose of COVID-19 vaccine.

To make it as convenient as possible for all eligible Torontonians to get vaccinated, a number of clinic options were made available from Saturday, December 25 through to today, including nearly 7,000 appointments booked at the five City-run clinics.

As well, 340 physicians have now stepped up to offer their expertise as vaccinators across the city, and the City of Toronto thanks them for their commitment to getting as many Torontonians vaccinated and protected against COVID-19 as possible. There are also now 525 pharmacies that are part of the Team Toronto vaccination efforts, up from 515 a few days ago.

Holiday vaccination outreach continues this week and into the New Year’s weekend with more than 14,000 appointments booked from January 1 to 3, 2022 at City-run clinics. As new vaccine options open up, TPH will update residents so they can continue to get their vaccines in the New Year.

People with vaccination appointments are asked to arrive no more than 10 minutes early to vaccination clinics. There will be vaccine doses available for everyone who has an appointment; arriving earlier than necessary does not impact availability. There are no walk-in appointments at City-run vaccination clinics.

Team Toronto and partners are offering thousands of vaccine appointments at City-run clinics, hospital partner clinics, local pharmacies and doctors’ offices, including the following clinic locations operating today:

More information
To easily connect to resources including vaccine appointment bookings and information on vaccines, Toronto residents can text “VACCINE” to 1-833-750-0888 or 833-750-0888 for more information through the City’s VaxTO program.

Given the emergence of the new Omicron variant and ongoing community transmission of the Delta variant, Toronto Public Health urges all eligible residents to book their third-dose appointment to ensure they have an extra layer of protection. Residents who have not yet received their first or second COVID-19 vaccine shot are encouraged to do so as soon as possible. COVID-19 vaccines lower the risk of serious illness, hospitalization and death, while protecting oneself, loved ones and the community.

Residents should also continue to follow public health measures such as mask wearing, good hand hygiene and physical distancing. Those who have symptoms of COVID-19 are asked to stay at home and get tested as soon as possible. More information about COVID-19 in Toronto is available at www.toronto.ca/covid-19.
