Vax And Ride clinics

Team Toronto’s Vax And Ride clinics are on track to vaccinate the 1,000th person today.

Vax and Ride clinics have proven to be convenient and popular for residents and riders. Nine TTC stations will have Vax And Ride clinics operating across Toronto – the COVID-19 vaccination clinics have already helped 970 people get vaccinated since opening last week. This includes 133 first doses, 67 paediatric doses and 756 third doses.

Vax And Ride clinics are open starting today from noon to 7 p.m. at the following TTC stations:
•       Sheppard West
•       Islington
•       Jane
•       Sheppard-Yonge
•       St. Clair West
•       Bathurst
•       Kennedy
•       Warden
•       York University

The clinics will continue to operate today until at least April 10. A full list of clinic locations and hours can be found on the City of Toronto’s COVID-19: Pop-Up Immunization Clinics webpage: www.toronto.ca/home/covid-19/covid-19-vaccines/covid-19-how-to-get-vaccinated/covid-19-pop-up-immunization-clinics/.

Residents can visit the clinics on a walk-in basis, no appointment or TTC fare payment is required. A health card is not required for vaccination. Clinics offer first, second, third and paediatric COVID-19 vaccines, and both Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are available.

Vax And Ride is part of Team Toronto’s continued equity-focused, hyper-local mobile strategy to make COVID-19 vaccines as accessible and convenient as possible and to facilitate easy access in places that are part of Torontonians’ everyday lives as they travel and commute across the city.

Quote:
“After today, more than 1,000 people will have received a COVID-19 vaccine from a Vax And Ride clinic. That’s a great start and we look forward to seeing even more people get vaccinated in these clinics this weekend. If you’re not vaccinated yet, please get vaccinated. We continue to remove barriers and provide residents with easy and accessible ways to get vaccinated. If you have yet to receive your first, second or third shot or if you are now eligible for your fourth dose, I urge you to take advantage of these convenient clinics along your commute, as many have already done. Thank you for doing your part to protect yourselves and your community.”
